Configuring OpenWebMail
Filters

Use these instructions if you are configuring OpenWebMail filters.

  1. In a browser window open the OpenWebMail page by clicking [HERE].

  2. Login to this page with your university CLID (Common Login ID) and password. Then select FILTERS.



  3. This opens the Edit Mail Filter Screen. We will show the steps to configure a filter for [BULK] messages from the Barracuda. First we need to configure the "Rules" do this by selecting "Subject" in the pull down menu.

    *** NOTE: This can be used to set up any rule you would like to specify. The rules are not restricted to just this specific configuration.



  4. Next under "Inc/Exc" use the pull down menu and select "Include".



  5. This next section is under "String (click to edit)" in the text box input the word exactly without the quotations "[BULK]".




  6. This selection you will specify what you would like the filter to do with your message. Under the "Action" section we use the pull down menu and select "Move".



  7. Your next section is "Destination" under this section we use the pull down menu and select "Spam".



  8. The next item we come to is to insert a check in the "Check Box" under "Enable".



  9. After these steps are finished we move to the "Action" item and click on "Add/Modify". This enables the filter you have just setup and completes your configuration.
