- Click Start - Settings - Control Panel.
- Double-click the Network icon on the Control
Panel.
- Under The following network components are installed,
locate the component called TCP/IP for your Ethernet
card if you are using Ethernet. If you are dialing up, select
TCP/IP ->Dial-Up Adapter. Click Properties.
- On the IP Address tab, make sure Obtain an IP
address automatically is selected.
- On the WINS Configuration tab, make sure Use
DHCP for WINS Resolution is selected.
- On the DNS Configuration tab, select Disable
DNS.
- Click OK to exit the TCP/IP Properties window
and then OK again to exit the Nework screen.
- Restart your computer when instructed to do so. After
re-booting, your connection to the Internet should be properly
setup.
