Configuring DHCP for Windows XP

SELF-HELP GUIDES > CONNECT VIA DHCP > CONFIGURE FOR WINDOWS XP

  1. Click Start - Control Panel.


  2. Click Network and Internet Connections.


  3. Click Network Connections.


  4. Right-click on the Ethernet icon and select Properties.


  5. Highlight Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) by clicking it once and select Properties.


  6. Select the options Obtain an IP address automatically and Obtain DNS server address automatically then click OK.


  7. Click OK to exit the Local Area Connection Properties window. Your new settings should take effect immediately.
