SMH Xerox - print driver configuration

The instructions below are provided by the university help desk. This corrects the "default sender" problem experienced while printing to either Xerox printer here in Stephens hall. Please follow these instructions for both Ives and Currier (postscript) and (PCL) drivers. If you have any other problems please call the helpdesk.

  1. Locate Printers and Faxes from your start menu. The image below shows the selection.



  2. Once you have clicked on Printers and Faxes a window should appear with your printers. This window should already contain these four printers. In this example we will select Currier, but you must repeat these instructions for every printer listed below.



  3. For this example we will right click on Currier (PCL) on athena. Then select Properties, as shown below:



  4. The Currier (PCL) on athena Properties screen will appear with the General tab at the top already selected. Click on the Printing Preferences button to configure the banner page.



  5. The next screen we will click on the Xerox Settings tab.



  6. Under the Xerox Settings tab we select Preferences.



  7. On this next screen, Preferences, we must put a check in the box next toWrite the account number when saving the Job Ticket. As shown below, click Save to apply the changes.



  8. Click OK to exit this screen.



  9. Finally, click OK to close all of your open configuration windows. Repeat these steps for each Xerox print driver in Stepehens Hall Ives (PCL), Ives (Postscript), Currier (PCL) and Currier (Postscript).
