- What statistical packages are available on UCS?
- SPSS
SAS
- How do I select which package to use?
- If you are working on a class assignment or doing a research
project for a professor, the professor will probably tell
you which program to use.
The two statistical packages are on UCS. Anyone associated
with the university (faculty, staff, registered student)
can get an UCS account and then use these programs.
SPSS is a windows based program which allows you
to input your data in a spreadsheet-type data editor. You
can then use pull down menus to perform statistical analyses.
SAS can be used to perform simple or complex analyses
of data. It has many data management tools.
- How do I find out more information about one of these
programs?
Look at the documents SPSS
on UCS and SAS on UCS
for additional information.
