Desktop Services - Static IP Request

Please provide the following information to request a static IP address for your computer.

Dell, IBM, Gateway, Apple, etc.
Optiplex 790, iMac, Latitude 5010, Macbook, etc.
Use the following instructions to answer the next two questions:
Windows - Click the Start button. In the "Search programs and files" field type, "computer name" and press the Enter key on your keyboard. Your Computer name will be listed under "Computer name, domain, and workgroup settings" as well as operating system version listed under "Windows Edition".
Mac - Click the Apple button, click about this Mac

Windows - Click the "windows" button. Type cmd and press enter. In the command window type getmac (all lowercase, no spaces). The number listed under "Physical Address" is your MAC address.
OSX (Apple) - from the Apple menu, select System Preferences... . From the View menu in System Preferences, select Network. In the left column of the Network preference window that opens, click the name of your connection (e.g., Wi-Fi, AirPort, Ethernet, Built-in Ethernet). Click the Advanced... button, and in the sheet that drops down, click the Hardware, Ethernet, or AirPort tab. The address is the string of letters and numbers next to "MAC Address:", "Ethernet ID:", or "AirPort ID:".
