CLID to ULID Conversion for IT Resource Access on Campus

The University is implementing a new campus software called Banner to manage academic information and how we do business. This new system requires that we change the IDs we use to log in to software around campus, such as Moodle and Zimbra email.

The new ID we use is called a ULID, which begin with a C and is followed by eight numbers (example: C12345678). You can find it on your new Cajun Card or by going to the old ULink and checking the top left corner. The ULID is slowly replacing the CLID, which consists of three letters and four numbers (example: abc1234).

The Office of Information Technology is converting all services using the CLID for authentication, to the ULID. As we transition from CLIDs to ULIDs, you may have to log in to some services using one or, in some cases, both to access information from certain periods of time.

Below is a list of services you will access at some point during your time at UL Lafayette. The list shows which ID to use to login, and when it will be converted to the ULIDs if it has not yet.  If your CLID will still be used for access to historical information, instructions are provided to assist you with accessing that information.

If you have questions, contact the IT Service desk for assistance at 482-HELP or ithelp@louisiana.edu.
