Gradebook - Offline Activity

Did you know that even though students did not use Moodle to complete an assignment, you can still add their grades in Moodle?

Adding an offline activity grade to Moodle is a two part process, adding the grade item and adding the students grades.


Add the Grade item:

  1.  From within the course, click Grades in the Administration block

  1. From the Grader report page, click the drop down at the top of the page, under Categories and Items choose Simple View

  1. Scroll down to the bottom of the Simple view page click Add grade item

  1. On the Grade Item page, fill in grade information and click Save changes.


Add the students grades:

  1. From within the course, click Grades in the Administration block

  1. On the Grader Report page, click Turn editing on in the top right corner of the page.

  1. Once editing is turned on, grade boxes will then appear under each grade item, next to each students name for you to enter the grades. Find the grade item heading corresponding with the offline activity you just created, add students' grades and click Update.
