    Administrative Account

    Administrator rights are typically reserved for University Computing Services (UCS) personnel who are responsible for providing administrative services such as system maintenance and user support.

    The IT Security Officer and UCSS reserve the right to disable these accounts at any time. Upon suspicion of policy violations UCSS disables the account and will work with the Director to resolve any issues. These Accounts will expire yearly and will require you to come back to this form to renew and to accept any new policies.

    Software Center

    SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:  The computer must be part of the WIN domain and you must have a valid CLID and password.

    TESCAN (TEst SCanning and ANalysis) is a software application that analyzes data read by the Scantron grading machine.

    The software allows faculty and staff to:

    • Score multiple choice tests (50 or 100 question with appropriate form)
    • Obtain results of scoring and analysis (Emailed as an electronic file)
    • Read raw data into a data file which can later be analyzed by any statistical program (such as SAS, SASJMP, or SPSS)

    UL-WiFi is the new wireless network on campus.  It is currently being tested in the Dupre Library 3rd floor and the IT Help Desk in Stephens Hall (Room 110).  In the very near future the UL Lafayette IT Team will extend UL-WiFi to the 1st and 2nd floors of the Dupre Library for further testing.

    The current plan is for UL-WiFi to replace UWIN and ResNET throughout the entire campus beginning Spring 2015.
