Accessing WebAID

WebAID on PCs

Use an Internet Explorer browser to access WebAID.
Current versions of Chrome & Firefox will NOT work with WebAID.
(They no longer run the Java plugin)

  1. Open the Control Panel on your machine and search for Java.
  2. Click on Java App
  3. In Java Console box, click the Security tab.
  4. In the Security tab, click Edit Site List.
  5. Add https://webaid.louisiana.edu to the site list.
  6. Apply.
  7. Click the Advanced tab.
  8. In the Advanced tab, scroll down.
  9. In the mixed code area, select Enable - hide warning and run with protections.
  10. Make sure that the following options are turned off (unchecked).
    • Use SSL 2.0 Compatible ClientHello format.
    • Use TLS 1.1.
    • Use TLS 1.2.
  11. Apply and close.

WebAID on Macs

Use a Safari browser to access WebAID.
Current versions of Chrome & Firefox will NOT work with WebAID.
(They no longer run the Java plugin)

Macs running Java require a special setup to run Webaid.  Below are instructions on how to achieve this setup.
