Spam and Phishing Emails

Spam

Spam is a term used to describe unwanted and many times unsolicited email. The term comes from the most known use of the word Spam. It describes the precooked meat product made by the Hormel Foods Corporation. The term became used to describe those pesky emails through a Monty Python sketch in which Spam was portrayed as everywhere and inescapable. The use of the term in unwanted email is quite fitting. Electronic spam is everywhere and sometimes nothing can be done to stop it.
