Office 365 - Changes to Login

UL Lafayette is officially adopting Office 365 for Fall 2019.  Our existing Office 365 environment will be phased out and replaced with a new environment that will offer email and additional services.  To continue using Office 365 during our conversion period (Spring/Summer 2019)  you will need to change the way you log in to Office 365.

Starting April 3, 2019 you will need to change your school login name to @win.louisiana.edu in order to continue to access your files.

Your password will not change, and all your existing files will still be accessible.

CLID to ULID Conversion for IT Resource Access on Campus

The University is implementing a new campus software called Banner to manage academic information and how we do business. This new system requires that we change the IDs we use to log in to software around campus, such as Moodle and Zimbra email.

The new ID we use is called a ULID, which begin with a C and is followed by eight numbers (example: C12345678). You can find it on your new Cajun Card or by going to the old ULink and checking the top left corner. The ULID is slowly replacing the CLID, which consists of three letters and four numbers (example: abc1234).

Support for Personal Machines

University Computing Support Services (UCSS)—along with the IT Help Desk—endeavors to assist all of our students, faculty and staff with their tech support needs.

We are able to provide support for University based functions including all tech support for University owned machines and basic assistance installing software offered by the University on personally owned machines.

Although we do our best to assist users there are many services that fall outside the scope of our support (including tech support for personally owned machines).

ULID vs CLID

The CLID - abc1234 is the userid formerly used to access campus resources.  Some of you are still using the CLID for some resources, such as computer login.  We are in the process of phasing out the CLID userid.

For existing CLID users, please use the CLID Migration Tool to convert to the new ULID userid.
