Academic access is provided to UL Lafayette students who require door access to fulfill academic or programmatic requirements. The department determines access needs, and the permissions are granted and terminated in alignment with the academic schedule each semester.

Finding Your MAC Address

Due to the ever changing world of streaming devices and gaming consoles, these instructions are a general guideline of where the  MAC address for devices are normally located.
The MAC address location of your specific device may be slightly different.

MAC address are always listed using the 0-9 and A-E as:

Problematic Devices

Many networked devices are designed for home use, as opposed to a managed network such as GeauxWiFi. As a result, these devices will either simply will not work with the Campus network, or will cause interference with GeauxWiFi.

Leaving the University?

University of Louisiana at Lafayette policy states that once you have separated from the University (for reasons other than retirement), you will no longer have access to University IT resources.

Campus Operator

Operator Services provides the public with information concerning the University, ensuring accuracy of call redirection for business and academic affairs, and provides Assistance in emergencies.


Office hours for Operator Services are from 7:30 AM through 5:00 PM on Monday through Thursday and 7:30 AM through 12:30 PM on Fridays.


To contact Operator Services, just dial 0# from any campus telephone. If you are calling from outside the University, dial (337) 482-1000.
